Half Hidden Fox — Oil Painting Workshop

Saturday 23rd January | 2.30pm–7.30pm | Parish Rooms, Tickhill

Join professional wildlife artist Rosie Smith for a relaxed and inspiring oil painting workshop, where you’ll create your own version of the much-loved Half Hidden Fox.

Inspired by Rosie’s famous Half Hidden collection, whose original paintings have sold through various galleries, this workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to explore her distinctive, loose and expressive painting style.

Working from the original Half Hidden Fox painting, you’ll be guided through the process of creating your own interpretation of this striking character on A3 board using oils.

What to expect

Throughout the session, Rosie will demonstrate each stage of the painting process on a big screen, making it easy to follow along at your own pace. With demonstrations, practical guidance and individual support throughout, you’ll learn how to build colour, create expressive brushstrokes and bring your fox to life.

Beginners are very welcome! Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or already have some experience, this workshop is designed to help you develop your skills, build confidence and, most importantly, enjoy the experience of painting.

Your workshop includes

- All painting materials provided
- An A3 painting board to work on
- Live demonstrations and guidance throughout
- Refreshments available throughout the session
- Your finished Half Hidden Fox painting to take home
